How does one terminate an employee onboard a vessel-(Cargo Ship) while at see?

A member of the crew is violent and is threatening the crew and the captain while at see. The ship is away from its home port in voyage towards a destination abroad. How does one handle this situation. Can the employee be removed from the vessel ones it reaches its destination abroad. If so what are the legal steps to take. If the employee must be restrained while at see. What can be done to remove him from the vessel. How does one terminate an employee onboard a vessel-(Cargo Ship) while at see?
I think he's made to walk the plank. How does one terminate an employee onboard a vessel-(Cargo Ship) while at see?
International Maritime law allows the captain of the ship to restrain someone threatening the safety of the ship or crew.

So the capt. could order the crew member locked up and turned over to authorities at the first port the ship puts in.
