Why do we call something that we transport by boat cargo and something we transport by car shipment?

ship ship shipWhy do we call something that we transport by boat cargo and something we transport by car shipment?
We don't. People don't ship by car. It's all cargo anyway.

And you should have said ';by ship is cargo';. If you are going to ask 'cute' questions for the hundredth time you might at least get them right.

Ships have two or more decks above water, by the way.Why do we call something that we transport by boat cargo and something we transport by car shipment?
MAY BE HAVING TO COME FROM OUTSIDE THE COUNTRY ON WATER OR BY AIR.
i guess its along the same lines that why do we drive on a parkway and park in a drive way. or why is it called eat n park, dont you park n eat??? another of lifes little conundrums man
