Any cop can stop you and ticket you just for the seat-belts, it doesn't matter where are you riding.

And if there is a minor on the cargo area without a seat-belt, then your problems will be worst.





And in case of accident you can be criminally charged with vehicular manslaughter or criminal negligence for not providing a safe ride to the passengers.
hello there, i hope that this helps. i would check with department of motor vehicles (dmv) for the city in the state that you are considering riding people in the back of your dodge ram because all cities states may not have the same laws. last, to be on the safe side, maybe it is time you re-read the dmv drivers license booklet because laws also change over time. i recently passed my written drivers' test, and i know that they just made some new changes to the manual after the new manual was published for 2007-2009. so it might also be a good idea to go into a dmv office and ask a dmv employee because some new or more recent changes to the laws were not entered into the manual.
